DOUBLE TROUBLE

ALLEGIANCE:
AUTOBOT
FUNCTION: TAG TEAM
FIRST APPEARANCE: THE HEADMASTERS #1

"Two 'bots are better than one!"

Profile:  Double Trouble is unique among the Autobots in that he separates into two different vehicles with completely separate personalities.  Double, the armored car, is chiefly concerned with protecting innocents from the Decepticons.  He is a pacifist and turns to violence only as a last resort.  Trouble, the tank, only cares about destroying Decepticons.  It doesn't matter to him who gets in his way or what collateral damage along the way, as long as he defeats his enemies.  The two could not be more different from one another.  Both vehicles combine together into the robot called Double Trouble.  Only when they combine does his complete personality emerge.  Double Trouble maintains a more balanced perspective, weighing his desire to achieve peace against his desire to achieve victory.

Abilities:  Double is armed with twin electrostatic discharge cannons.  They can create a powerful electric shock capable of stunning enemies without causing lasting harm to them.  Trouble is equipped with twin built-in flamethrowers that can incinerate a city block in 30 minutes.  When combined in robot mode, Double Trouble has the use of both weapons, firing the electrostatic discharge cannons through his shoulders and the flamethrowers through his legs.  He also carries a photonic detonator cannon.  It emits charged packets of energy particles that can explode on contact with a target.

Weaknesses:  While Double Trouble functions well as a combined robot, the individual components don't get along with each other. Double and Trouble are constantly bickering with each other, diverting their attention from the battlefield and negating their individual effectiveness.
