GEARHEAD

ALLEGIANCE: AUTOBOT
SUB-GROUP: GO-BOT
FUNCTION: WARRIOR
FIRST APPEARANCE: RIGHT HERE

"If you race me, you will lose."

Profile: Gearhead suffers from a classic case of split personality. While most Transformers can easily handle the ability to transform to different configurations without ever developing personality problems, Gearhead was deeply traumatized during the Cybertron wars and never learned to cope with it effectively. As a result, there are two different personalities inhabiting the same form: his vehicle persona, who genuinely believes himself to be a living, breathing stock car; and his robot persona, a comparatively normal, if battle-eager, Autobot-engineered fighter. His behavior is largely determined by which personality is in control. His first action after arriving on Earth was to join up with a professional racing circuit, which lasted only up until the first time he was called into battle. The only time he drives faster than when running on the race track is when he's racing into battle to engage the Decepticons.

Abilities: Gearhead's construction incorporates a reinforced outer shell, making him virtually invulnerable to physical abuse. His dedicated vehicular power source, located under his titanium-plated hood, provides him with speeds of up to 420 mph. He switches to an alternative energy supply for robot mode, and possesses considerable strengh in this form. He carries a microwave jammer pistol, which grants him control over most simple mechanical devices.

Weaknesses: All of Gearhead's most significant problems are related to his personality disorders. He also suffers from anxiety attacks when he can't find himself a battle... or a checkered flag, for that matter.
