TREADLOCK

ALLEGIANCE:
DECEPTICON
FUNCTION: SEARCH AND DESTROY
SUB-GROUP: TARGETMASTER
HUMAN COMPONENT: RIMSHOT
FIRST APPEARANCE: "THE REBIRTH" PART 3

"You can run, but you'll get fried."

Profile:  Treadlock learned his trade in the Molybdenum Mazes on Cybertron.  Given enough time and enough energy to fuel his campaigns, he can find any target, anywhere.  He uses advanced, built-in tracking computers to find objects as small as a flathead screw from distances of up to 100 miles away.  Treadlock has never been given an assignment that he didn't complete.  Once he has set his sights on a target, that target is typically never heard from again.  Treadlock is paired with the bitter and angry Rimshot, a former stand-up comic.  Rimshot once enjoyed a lucrative career making fun of popular celebrities and politicians on Nebulos, but finally quit after being heckled one too many times.  It seems Rimshot could dish it out, but he just couldn't take it.  Treadlock plays the straight man to Rimshot's punchlines.  During a mission, Treadlock's stoic, businesslike demeanor is punctuated by frequent sarcastic barbs from Rimshot.

Abilities:  In tank mode, Treadlock travels at 75 mph.  His treads enable him to traverse all but the most difficult landscapes.  He possesses immense strength and is an extremely effective marksman.  He can fire a variety of projectiles from his track-mounted barrel, including cryogenic, thermal, gyro-destabilizer, and magnetic missiles.  Rimshot transforms into a dual-barrelled mortar shell launcher, capable of destroying nearly any obstructions between Treadlock and his targets.

Weaknesses:  Treadlock has no known weaknesses.  Rimshot, however, has been known to ruin a perfect sting operation by shouting out some kind of comic insult only moments before Treadlock can destroy his targets.
