ZMFTS Update Log (2005)

I'm always making little changes here and there to the site that won't merit a mention in the updates log, but just about anything new that I've added to the site can be found here.  Keep in mind that some links on this page will no longer work as the site continues to evolve (this will be particularly problematic this year as I make a half-hearted attempt to move everything to the new server).  Always start from the home page to find the most recent links!

No update, aside from the image found on the home page just below.  I've got projects I need to add to the site, but it's pretty low on my proirity list.  And you know what?  I don't feel the slightest bit guilty.  (Apologies to my long-time visitors who want to know when I'm actually going to get off my butt and work on the site again.  It's nothing personal, you understand.)

Well, you knew it would happen eventually.  I just can't seem to stay away from my duties as a webmaster for any significant length of time, huh?  I've changed AOL accounts which means a new home address for the site, which I'm now calling the ZMFTS II because it seemed appropriate somehow.  Everything located on alternate web servers like Fortunecity will remain as it is, but anything under the members.aol.com/zobovor directory is going to be moved and eventually deleted.  What this means is that for a while, there will be a lot of sub-pages that will redirect you to the wrong place.  In the meantime, I suggest you update your bookmarks while the idea is still fresh in your mind.  (Stale ideas just aren't as crunchy in milk, I've found.)

On the kitbashing side of things, I've been working on lots of die-cast vehicle repaints.  I've had ideas for about 40 new projects, including a great many G1 characters who aren't from the 1984-85 era.  (The concept that tickles me most right now is the idea of doing Powermaster Optimus Prime, complete with giant robot arms stuck to the front of his trailer.)

I haven't given up on my fan fiction, either.  I still need to collect some files from my old computer before I can start writing again, but rest assured that the lore of "Children of Cybertron" has percolated in my brain for years, and continues to do so even when I'm not actively working on it.

Here's what we've got for you today:

KITBASHES:

(1/1/2005)

Until further notice, the continued development of the ZMFTS is going to be indefinitely temporarily postponed.  I've enjoyed working on the site, and I've gotten lots of wonderful feedback from friends and fellow fans over the years, but one of my resolutions for the new year was to effect a change in priorities.  There are important things I want to do with my life, and while maintaining a web site has been a fun diversion, I need to start spending my free time pursuing other goals.

I certainly don't plan to spend time deleting thousands of files from the various web servers I'm using, so you can expect the parts of the site that are still active to remain as they are.  I may choose to upload a new project here and there, but I don't anticipate making regular updates any longer.

Thanks to everyone who's visited the site.  It's been a fun ride.
