The majority of the Quintessons are driven off of Cybertron by the consumer goods in the First Cybertron War, A-3 and his rebels rename themselves autonomous robots, or Autobots. Dark Guardians are reprogrammed into Guardian Robots.
10,000,000 B.C.
The military hardware begin the Second Cybertron War with the Autobots. Their leader, Deceptus, renames his army the Decepticons. The Autobots invent transformation technology, giving them the edge in the war. The Autobots regain control over Cybertron.
9,000,500 B.C.
During peacetime, the Decepticons learn the art of transforming. Shortly afterwards, a Decepticon warrior is being rebuilt into Megatron. Septimus Prime attacks, killing two of the technicians who worked on Megatron and badly injuring the others. After Megatron awakens, he kills Septimus Prime; the Matrix is passed to Alpha Trion. Megatron collects the personality components of the Constructicons for use as future troops.
9,000,000 B.C.
The Third Cybertron War is begun by Megatron; Orion Pax becomes Optimus Prime.
8,000,000 B.C.
The Constructicons create Crystal City and befriend Omega Supreme. Megatron reprograms them with his robo-smasher, a device used to bolster the Decepticon forces.
1984 A.D.
The Ark crashes on Earth; the Constructicons’ personality components are given Earth bodies.
