CROSSWALK
ALLEGIANCE: AUTOBOT
SUB-GROUP: RESCUEBOT
FUNCTION: DEFENSIVE OPERATIONS
FIRST APPEARANCE: "THE DWELLER IN THE DEPTHS"
"Better safe than sorry."
Profile: Crosswalk is concerned
about the safety of others to the exclusion of all else. When not
performing his duties as a member of the Rescuebot team, Crosswalk is trying
to figure out new ways to protect his fellow Autobots, human friends, and
other innocent beings from harm. He gives this considerable problem
all his attention. It's all he thinks about. It's all he talks
about, too. His team members consider him obsessed. It would
be one thing if Crosswalk's efforts were beneficial to the team, but frequently,
the results are just the opposite. On more than one occasion, he's
been discovered replacing warheads in the Autobot armory with less destructive
ones. He doesn't seem to understand that he's doing more harm than
good. In preventing the Autobots from waging war, he inadvertently
enables the Decepticons to do more damage to those he has sworn to
protect.
Abilities: In police car
mode, Crosswalk uses a pair of rear-mounted, dual-barreled compliance cannons.
They shoot a special substance with unusually adhesive properties.
When spread over the terrain, the substance can glue his opponents
in place for up to six hours before the substance loses its adhesive properties.
In robot mode, he carries a sensory overload gun, designed to cause
intense pain in mechanical life forms by targeting their pain receptors without
doing any actual physical damage. He combines with the other Rescuebots
to form Emancipator.
Weaknesses: Crosswalk's
tendency to sabotage Autobot operations is his biggest
shortcoming.
