Profile: Earsplitter likes  to makes his presence known, to say the least.  When he's around, any Autobots or Decepticons within earshot are made painfully aware of it—whether they like it or not.  He's loud and irritating, speaking in a shrill, high-pitched voice and usually at full volume.  He is also totally incorrigible.  Requests to turn down the volume on his voice synthesizer seem to only invogorate him that much more.  Suffice to say, he is one of the least popular Decepticons. The other Sweeps absolutely despise him, and do their best to distance themselves from him whenever possible.  "I think he does it just to annoy us," says Scourge. Abilities:  As a hovercraft, Earsplitter can operate above ground or can function in outer space, where he uses his twin thrusters to propel himself.  In both modes, he is equipped with a powerful sonic piercing cannon.  The cannon creates highly destructive sound waves measuring over 180 decibels that can crumble a 12-story building to its foundation in mere minutes.  In robot mode, he also carries a high-powered, rapid-fire laser rifle. Weaknesses: Earsplitter often gets trapped in the aftermath of the destruction that he causes.  The other Decepticons usually refuse to save him because they dislike him so much.
