FEARMONGER ALLEGIANCE: DECEPTICON FUNCTION: ADVANCE TROOP SUB-GROUP: SWEEP FIRST APPEARANCE: "FIVE FACES OF DARKNESS" PART 3 "Be afraid...be very afraid." Profile: Fearmonger is known as one of the most terrifying and dangerous of all Decepticons.  His reputation precedes him—even his fellow Decepticons are scared of him.  What very few suspect about him, however, is that it's all an act.  He deliberately cultivates a reputation of being a fearsome and deadly combatant, but in practice his behavior is far more benign.  He typically surveys a battlefield before the conflict begins, but leaves before the fighting gets too intense for him to handle.  While he projects an image of being a powerful warrior, the truth is that he hates fighting.  He is a self-serving robot who would rather watch other Decepticons risk their lives in combat than do so himself.  He relies on the other Sweeps and their safety in numbers, but never operates alone.  Ultimately, Fearmonger is interested in his own welfare above all else, and he uses the rumors that the other Decepticons spread about him to ensure his continued safety. Abilities:  Fearmonger flies at 200 mph, with a range of 1800 miles in ideal conditions.  He is equipped with high-intensity spotlights to track down and locate Autobots, and he carries a smoke bomb launcher that disrupts the ventilation systems of enemy robots, causing them to overheat. Weaknesses:   Fearmonger depends almost entirely upon his reputation as a lethal warrior, since he lacks powerful offensive capabilities.  He operates best when part a group assault, since he is unable to sustain offensive measures on his own.
