| FLASHPOINT ALLEGIANCE: AUTOBOT SUB-GROUP: THROTTLEBOT FUNCTION: THERMAL WARFARE FIRST APPEARANCE: "THE REBIRTH" PART 3 "If you can't stand the heat, stay off the battlefield." Profile: Flashpoint is a tragic hero. He is a capable warrior with powerful abilities, but he's terrified to use them. His worst fear is the idea that he might accidentally hurt a fellow Autobot, a human ally, or other innocent creature during his attempts to combat the Decepticons. So concerned is he for the welfare of the Earthlings that he experiences horrible guilt after causing property damage, even if no one was hurt. More than once, he's accidentally lit trees on fire or destroyed cars parked on the side of the road. Less frequently, he's inadvertently destroyed entire homes. Flashpoint will spend hours making whatever reparations he can—but even this does little to assuage the horrible guilt he feels over it. Abilities: In car mode, Flashpoint sprays flammable substances from his tail pipe which can bond themselves at a molecular level to nearly any surface. He then ignites the substance using lasers fired from his headlight array. The results are immediate, effective, and devastating. Flashpoint himself is highly resistant to the effects of his own weapons. The alloy frame incorporated into his design can tolerate temperatures up to 3000 degrees Fahrenheit. Weaknesses: Flashpoint sometimes sets his own tires on fire after driving through his own fluids. His biggest problems are psychological, however. The guilt he experiences frequently incapacitates him, rendering him useless.
