HARDNOSE ALLEGIANCE: DECEPTICON FUNCTION: STRATEGIST FIRST APPEARANCE: "FIVE FACES OF DARKNESS" PART 5 "Winners fly; losers drive." Profile:  Hardnose believes in the old style tradition of Cybertron combat.  He considers modern warfare to be barbaric, and intends to restore honor and civility to the battlefield.   Formal, proper, and extremely standoffish, Hardnose expects the other Decepticons to follow his example.  He makes unreasonable demands on the troops, insisting that they fight without their weapons, and then becomes enraged when the other Decepticons don't listen.  He spends more time trying to get the troops to fall in line than he does fighting the Autobots. Abilities:  The dual turbine configuration of Hardnose's jet mode allows him to travel at 600 mph, and he can sustain this speed for 9,000 miles.  He can adopt a modified configuration for space travel, increasing his top speed to 20,000 mph.  In robot mode, he carries a ceremonial laser rifle, but he vastly prefers the ancient combat method of fighting hand-to-hand. Weaknesses:  Hardnose tends to be preoccupied with the behavior of the other Decepticons.  He worries far more about them than he does about dealing with his Autobot enemies.
