JALOPY ALLEGIANCE: AUTOBOT FUNCTION: GREASE MONKEY FIRST APPEARANCE: TRANSFORMERS #12 "There's no problem that a little elbow grease can't fix." Profile:  Jalopy is the most slovenly and disgusting of the Autobots.  He's perpetually covered in a thin layer of grime, and he always smells like exhaust fumes and burnt oil.  Being elbows-deep in transmission fluid is his idea of a good time.  The other Autobots are revolted by him and try to keep their distance from him, but Jalopy takes it all in stride.  He doesn't care about what others think about him, only about getting the job done.  He's a top-notch grease monkey, and he prefers to let his work speak for him.  The dirtier he's gotten, the more he feels like he's made a useful contribution to the cause. Abilities:  Jalopy can patch up any Autobot, or Earth vehicle, using whatever is available.  His repair work isn't pretty, but it is functional and built to last.  As a vehicle, he travels at 190 mph, often belching thick, black clouds of smoke as he travels.  Since he doesn't care about the condition he's in, he will often drive through any obstacle to reach his destination.  In robot mode, he uses a shoulder-mounted, heat-seeking rocket launcher and carries a high-temperature laser welder gun.  He uses this gun in his repair work, but it also serves as a weapon, capable of cutting holes in Decepticon armor. Weaknesses:  Jalopy is adept at fixing others, but he never maintains himself.  He breaks down regularly in vehicle mode as a result of this.
