RUSH
HOUR
ALLEGIANCE: DECEPTICON
FUNCTION: GROUND ASSAULT
FIRST APPEARANCE: "ATTACK OF THE AUTOBOTS"
"The last one rolling wins."
Profile: Rush Hour is a capable
Decepticon warrior, but he has one crippling flaw. As one of the first
Decepticon automotive vehicles, it is his job to operate on the groundbut
Rush Hour is terrified of traffic. He believes human motorists to be
unpredictable and dangerous, and he does everything in his power to avoid
them. He will drive on grassy lawns, sandy beaches, or muddy trails
to avoid having to face other motor vehicles on the road. Ironically,
when he has no choice and is forced to operate on the highways, he becomes
so preoccupied with the erratic behavior of human drivers that he usually
ends up causing an accident himself.
Abilities: In car mode,
Rush Hour can travel up to 210 mph on paved surfaces, but he travels at a
significantly slower speed when trudging through uneven terrain. He
can equip a pair of optional rockets that can increase his maximum speed
to 330 mph, and he can attain this speed until his fuel reserves are exhausted.
As a robot, he can replace his hands with proton accelerator cannons
that cause objects to speed up uncontrollably until they combust. He
uses these frequently on the tires of motorists that he doesn't like. He
can launch satellites from his shoulders that achieve sub-orbital altitude
and can interfere with traffic lights, police radar, and other electronic
signals.
Weaknesses: Rush Hour's extreme
reluctance to face traffic conditions is his biggest flaw. He will
directly ignore orders from Megatron in order to avoid operating on the
freeway.
