SUNDOWN ALLEGIANCE: DECEPTICON SUB-GROUP: DINOBOT FUNCTION: COVERT OPERATIONS FIRST APPEARANCE: "FIVE FACES OF DARKNESS" PART 4 "There is no good or bad—only winners and losers." Profile: Sundown was one of two new Dinobots created to honor Rodimus Prime, decorated in the semblance of the Autobot leader.  Like the original Dinobots, he strongly resented the authority of his leader, but while the others never acted upon their dissatisfaction, Sundown did—disavowing his allegiance to the Autobots and joining the Decepticons.  He had thought that they would welcome a warrior of his strength and abilities, but in fact the Decepticons shun him as an outcast.  No longer an Autobot but not quite a Decepticon, he wanders through life hoping that eventually he will find his true calling.  More than anything else, he just wants desperately to belong. Abilities:  In dinosaur mode, the plates on Sundown's back are as sharp as swords, capable of cutting through steel.  As a robot, he uses a shoulder-mounted launcher that fires blackout rockets, capable of temporarily causing temporary darkness in an area of up to one square mile.  He also carries a flame sword and a solid-fuel blaster, which he frequently uses in conjunction with each other in order to douse his enemies in fuel and then ignite them. Weaknesses: Sundown's most significant shortcoming is that he is very slow.  Also, the Decepticons consider him little more than expendible cannon fodder, and treat him as such.
